The Columbia Basin Development League
Is a 501 C-6 non-profit organization, incorporated in 1964 with the mission to:
Provide
support for the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project and its future development, to
protect its water rights and educate the public on the renewable resource and
multi-purpose benefits of the project.
- A voice at meetings
and hearings where Columbia Basin Project interests are concerned.
- A means to communicate
with state and federal legislators and policy makers in government agencies.
- A means to communicate
with others through alliances and networks with similar needs and concerns.
- A means to communicate
with other members of the Columbia Basin Development League.
- A means to educate the
general public about the value of the project both economically and
environmentally.
